What are you going to do

  • Responsible for all multi-discipline site construction activities for his department assigned projects.
  • Lead a team of Construction Supervisors providing constructability related direction, guidance and advice.
  • Control and supervise site construction/installation of project works, including workshop prefabrication works, of all disciplines in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and Execution Plan.
  • Participate and give input on constructability during feasibility and design stage when requested.
  • Assist in mobilization and demobilization of Contractor personnel, equipment and logistics involving Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors.
  • Randomly inspect construction works and materials in accordance with Work Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
  • Co-ordinate, liaise and follow up with relevant parties to resolve complex site issues and raise technical queries for required modifications, as necessary.
  • Proactive with safety while performing site construction activities in live plant and ensure site compliance with statutory safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proactive with simultaneous operation & construction works in live plants by understanding the End User's constraints/concerns and hence minimizing effects on the project schedule and cost.
  • Co-ordinate pre-commissioning activities, assist during commissioning of Department assigned projects and ensure that all Punch List items are cleared in a timely manner

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • B.Sc. in an Engineering Discipline or Diploma with extensive construction management
  • Fifteen (15) years minimum construction/installation related experience of which ten (10) years in oil & gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of construction related standards and QHSE awareness.
  • Good ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans,
  • lifting/erection plans, construction schedules and drawings.
  • Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems related to construction activities and suggest solutions.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
